Our laboratory conducts basic research using molecular biological and immunological techniques and clinical research using population-based epidemiological techniques to promote oral health and disease prevention. We are the only department in dentistry that integrates the broad disciplines of health promotion, disease prevention, and public health, and our mission and importance to society are increasing. Through our research and educational activities in this field, our goal is to realize Society 5.0 (a society that is sustainable and resilient, ensures the safety and security of its citizens, and enables each individual to achieve a diverse range of well-being).
