On April 7th, 2025, the entrance ceremony for 2025 was held at the Asty Tokushima, and a total of 1,888 students (1,343 undergraduate, 476 master's and 69 doctoral students) were admitted.
At the entrance ceremony, Ms. Hirao Sakura from the Faculty of Integrated Arts and Sciences took an oath on behalf of the newly enrolled students, saying, "I pledge to abide by the university's educational policy and rules, and to strive to conduct academic research and develop my character." President Kawamura then gave congratulatory remarks, saying, "At Tokushima University, students are the stars. I hope that you will soar high into our country and the world and lead the world as leaders. Congratulations to all the new students on your admission."
Afterwards, Ms. Miyai Reina from the Faculty of Bioscience and Bioindustry gave a welcoming speech on behalf of all current students, saying, "I am convinced that you will be able to grow significantly at Tokushima University by not forgetting your spirit of challenge, by respecting everyone you meet, and by accepting each other's individuality and diversity and working together. I sincerely hope that your university life from now on will be wonderful and fruitful."
