On August 9th, 2025, to commemorate the first anniversary of the signing of a partnership agreement with the National Federation of Tokushima Prefectural Associations, Mr. Kawamura, President of Tokushima University, faculty and staff, students, and Tokushima University Industrial Association officials participated in the 21st National Federation of Tokushima Prefectural Associations Opinion Exchange Meeting and Social Gathering.
As a new initiative, faculty and students from Tokushima University acted as facilitators at the opinion exchange meeting, and the participants discussed the theme of "making prefectural associations more attractive to young people."
The social gathering began with a "Sanbaso dance performance using Awa Ningyo Joruri” to welcome the members of prefectural associations from all over Japan. Afterwards, the members deepened their interactions with members of prefectural associations from all over Japan, and promoted the university's research content, student activities, industry-academia collaboration, and an university fan club.
Tokushima University plans to continue expanding its exchanges with people across the country who have ties to Tokushima Prefecture and spreading the appeal of Tokushima University.
